Kindergarten Škrinjica – Report 2025

Implementation of Look Up-Cloud Hunters 2025

Tijekom sudjelovanja u nacionalnom natjecanju Look Up Cloud Hunters 2025., naša je skupina s djecom starije dobi uspješno provela nekoliko edukativnih i istraživačkih aktivnosti s ciljem promicanja razumijevanja oblaka, vremenskih pojava i važnosti atmosferskih promatranja.

English translation:

While participating in the Look Up-Cloud Hunters 2025 competition, our group of older children successfully conducted several educational and research activities with the aim of promoting the understanding of clouds, weather phenomena and the importance of atmospheric observations.

The activities were designed to encourage teamwork, critical thinking and field learning through a creative approach. The first step was to introduce the children to how clouds are formed and introduce them to a few basic clouds that they were familiar with, which they then observed while outdoors.

The second step of the activity was to take pictures of clouds and learn their names, then we chose a location to observe the clouds, which we photographed and started regularly recording weather conditions by making a weather poster to determine what the weather was like that day. We used cloud identification apps, but also our own notes, drawings and photographs that we regularly analyzed and compared.

During the activities, we emphasized cooperation with parents and children, learning through practice and connecting knowledge.

Participating in Look Up Cloud Hunters 2025 was an exceptional experience that enriched our understanding of atmospheric phenomena, strengthened teamwork, and showed how fun learning can be when it takes place outside the living room.
